Mr. Spencer by TL Swan

4.0

Spencer and Charlotte meet at a wedding, and even though they were both warned away from each other, their attraction to each other was too strong to deny. When they spend time together, they realize how much they enjoy each other's company on top of the intense chemistry they have. Things heat up between them and Charlotte lets Spencer know that she is a virgin and his reaction is definitely not supportive.

Their next meeting happens to be on a double date when Spencer is her friend's date. This time she tells Spencer that she is no longer a virgin. This little lie carries on for a while into their relationship. Spencer eagerly pursues Charlotte but she is hesitant. Eventually she gives in and they quickly end up in a relationship. This is very much instant love, within a week they are saying I love you. But their relationship comes with many obstacles: her father, the paparazzi, Spencer’s ex, and even her brother William. They stood by each other through every obstacle that was thrown their way and overcame it together, until a secret involving William was revealed. Wow, the pain and heartache was so wonderfully written in this part. I actually felt Spencer’s pain the most even though he was supposed to be the one in the wrong.

Spencer and Charlotte were a perfectly imperfect pair. Any time they touched was pure fire. I loved how Spencer went from manwhore to a one woman man because of how quickly he fell for Charlotte. They both made mistakes throughout the book but they both loved each other so much. I did feel like the ending was a bit rushed. One minute Spencer isn’t ready to forgive Charlotte and the next minute they are back together. Shane East and Sofia Lette did an amazing job with their narrations. Only Shane East could turn me on with his yelling and angry voice!
