Beautiful Venom
by Rina Kent
dark
medium-paced
Dear Me,
You really enjoyed this one. It’s the first Rina Kent book you have read. You loved the darkness of it and the romance. It did take a while for you to get fully absorbed, until chapter 18 hit (if you know, you know). From that point on you were absolutely hooked and couldn’t put the book down.
The thriller aspect was also intriguing and gave this romance something extra. The dynamic between Kane, the MMC and his best friends, Jude and Preston was interesting. You really liked the FMC Dahlia, she was feisty against Kane’s coldness which made their banter and arguments delicious as were some of the shmexy scenes.
Overall, you loved the writing, however occasionally the dialogue was a bit clunky and lacked depth or felt rushed in certain situations.
For your first Rina Kent book it was a great introduction. You can’t wait for Jude/Violet and Preston/Marcus books.
