Hilarious

So my one comment is that Olivia's age and particular ailments felt odd to me like they were off by a decade. I'm the same age as her character and while I've got tons of complaints about my body I've yet to show any signs menopause that I've noticed and trust my I pay attention because some actually sound pretty appealing to me. I get that everyone's body is different but it just seemed like she was too young for that.

Outside of that I found myself laughing so much. I loved getting to know Roman and Olivia and on this really rare occasion I was actually convinced that they truly fell in love in a week. I felt like I knew these characters and was truly invested in not just their love story but in watching them grow as individuals.

I also applaud the authors for how they managed this. When I read the title I was a little wary because I honestly expected some kind of cougar romance which is no more my thing than age gap romance. I wasn't expecting to like it because I don't want to read about people my age dating people my children's ages anymore than I'd want to date someone young enough to be my kid. However Roman is not some young 20 something hockey hot shot. He's younger than Olivia but at 41 and nearing the end of his long lived hockey career it's not by much. The authors managed to give the mature heroine a hockey hottie without making it cringeworthy by pairing her with someone close to her age and I definitely appreciated that.

Overall its it's great story and I'd highly recommend it.
