Downfall of a Princess by Marina Simcoe

4.0

This book captivated me with its unique, mirror-world concept where societal roles are reversed. The protagonist, escaping a traumatic past, finds herself in Rorrim Queendom, where men’s reputations are tightly guarded, and women hold power. Adopted by Queen Anna, she is poised to inherit the throne, but her life takes a dramatic turn when she falls for Salas, a disgraced slave with a dangerous past. Their forbidden love is fraught with tension, as Salas’s secrets threaten their very lives. The story’s exploration of power, gender dynamics, and love kept me hooked. It’s a fascinating start to the trilogy.
