The pretty typical slow moving second novel in a trilogy. While I really enjoyed Shiver, I thought that the second book in the series often felt pretty plotless, and it's pretty easy to tell where the entire book was going about half way through. However, it definitely does leave you wishing that you could immediately start the 3rd book. Hopefully the final book will be a satisfying end to a decent series that is a nice reprieve from books like the Twilight series.
