Concept could have been interesting with the god of death and goddess of life. However, the entire plot was people knowing secrets the fmc didn’t and the fmc literally having no desire to ask or know anything. The sense of urgency wasn’t there and the way Sage was endangered most of the book and just left alone all the time was confusing to me as a reader. I also wished more people were murdered because they were unbearable. Will I read the next book? Reluctantly, I absolutely will.
