I really enjoyed this book overall. There were parts that read a bit slow, mainly toward the beginning of the book, but the emotions and magical world captivated me after a short while and I was itching for answers and resolution. The imagery and writing was beautiful, and I grew so attached to the characters as they blossomed and developed before me. The love story is both tragic and soft at the same time, a combination that really works as the story develops. I really loved this book, and would love to read more stories in this world, or just more books by this author.
