I'm a sucker for books about a reformed playboy that falls first with a single mother. It's a cute story, I enjoyed the main male character's growth, but can't stand third-act breakup even if brief and then will resolve in a happy ending. I appreciate the character development and Joel's perseverance in pursuing Katrina; it was comical at times.
