The Ghost Fields by Elly Griffiths

Really enjoy this series. I learn about English history a bit in each one - so fascinating. And this one -the plot was good, and the ongoing stories about the main characters were good - developing in interesting and not always linear ways. This one, with it's murky bits of family history going back centuries and the affection for the land on which the family lives, and the ever-present sea threatening to take it all back - dark and gloomy in places, and absolutely delightfully absurd in others (a duck boat plays a major role at near the end ...).
