From the Corner of His Eye by Dean Koontz

4.0

One of Koontz's best works in my opinion. He masterfully brings together characters from all walks of life as he also delves deeply into the metaphysics of magic and the bonds of love. His characters are as uplifting as they are examples what we all are: everyday people coping with a darkening world. At times, it held a bit of a religious overtone, but not necessarily a particular religion, just that someone out there is guiding the events of the world. It is easily overlooked when compared to the beauty of his characters. It's amazing how he can craft a jaded detective, a little blind boy and a violated young woman (among many others) all in the same pages and have them all fully-fleshed.
