Was this book perfect? No. But I don't know what it is about this series that just brings me so much joy and has me ignoring any and all flaws!
I don't think it was quite as good as the first one, but I still flew through this sequel. The back-and-forth plot twists, the ~drama~, the secrets, all the shenanigans of the Hawthorne brothers, the love triangle (I'm not a huge fan of love triangles, but I'm still team Grayson). I was reading some reviews earlier and some people brought up some valid critical points that had me nodding and saying, "Yeah, that's true," but I still loved it and I can't explain why haha. Like I said, the joy has blinded me to the flaws!
The ending left me feeling unsatisfied and a little confused, until I learned there is going to be a third book! More Hawthorne adventures to come, and I can't wait.
