Hmmm, I didn't like this one quite as much as the second book in this series. I still love the worldbuilding and Ropa, but this one was more frustrating than the previous two, especially the ending. I felt like it ended in a good spot, but then the last chapter was a sort of epilogue that teasered a future book, completely open and frustrating. And the character development for this one particular character was so vague that it was hard to take any of his scenes seriously.
That said, the locked castle mystery was cool, and I liked that Ropa was more willing to work with other people. Her perspective on the castle and all its many inhabitants was also amazing.
