Dime by E. R. Frank
4.0
Very well written and extremely grim. A realistic and heartbreaking portrayal of how and why some girls fall through the cracks and into prostitution...and how they end up trapped there with no way out. Frank creates deep, interesting, and compelling characters, but the story was almost too much to bear at times, between the abuse, the hopelessness, the child pornography & prostitution, and the trafficking. Dime is a good character and her voice and desire to break the cycle and tell the story of these girls helps balance out the grimness of the subject matter.
