I went into this having read and really enjoyed Icarus earlier this year, and was initially a bit disappointed, but the last 25% or so of this book had so much beauty, so many passages I highlighted, that it really changed my overall opinion!
I did struggle with some of the character decisions/development, bits of it felt too convenient or unrealistic, but there were so many gorgeous moments and lines in the last third or so that I went from 'meh' to feeling really emotional about finishing it.
also having a butch protagonist is such a huge win and so very rare, I loved that <3
