One Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel García Márquez

5.0

This is one of those books that I've had sitting on my shelf for a while, putting it off for books that sounded likely to be an easier read. As such I'm surprised to have liked it as much as I did - I hardly put it down. The story is rich and complicated, combining elements of fantasy and realism. And with a large cast of varied and interesting female characters.
