This is a fun addition to the High Society Lady Detective series. I especially loved all of the Christmasy vibes! As this is the sixth book in the series, there will be spoilers for the previous books of the series throughout this review and I'm not going to hide those (though I will hide any specific to this book), so be warned.

This one focuses less on the murder than these books normally do. Now, it's still one of the main focuses, but there is more attention on Olive and Jasper's relationship. This was fine, though I'm not yet fully invested in their relationship. I'd like to see it flourish a little more before I make my final decision on it.

However, I really enjoyed the intrigue in this one. It was kind of fun to see a different side to Jasper.

I also loved that it was set at Christmas time and that we got some new characters. While I love the old cast, it is fun to have some new faces to join in!

I also learned some fun facts about British Intelligence during that time period, which was fun, and I got a book recommendation during the author's note at the end that I definitely want to check out!

Overall, I enjoyed this book and I can't wait for more installments to this series!!
