A Closed and Common Orbit by Becky Chambers

4.0

This is a 3.5 round-up. I really enjoyed my second outing in the Wayfarers universe. The questions and. exploration about what makes a person is explored in an interesting and fresh way, although I would have liked for it to get a little deeper. I miss the "found family" aspect of the first book. While this book does attempt to replicate it there is a lot less focus on the secondary characters' relationships than the first one. The Jane/Pepper narrative is by far the most compelling part of the book and the conclusions and revelations in her past definitely hit me in the feels. Will be continuing on and interested to see what corner the next installment takes me to.
