Roses:
This story had a ton of things I love in stories. I’m huge lover of a “share your emotions” king like Ian is. Both Ian and Amelie were actually funny! And it didn’t come across like forced. Loved the addition of having the dads being rivals with each other but wasn’t the sole thing making the relationship seem untouchable. The spicy scenes in this were great and the frequency was perfect literally I was so happy that once that door was open that the characters spicy moments stayed controlled and not over done. Another thing I’m always a sucker for the HEAs. And this 100% delivers on that. I honestly was really happy with the story and truly would love more with Ian and Amelie.

Thorns:
I found the MFC annoying at times with her refusing to accept her fiancé was trash even tho she outwardly said it herself how he wasn’t doing the things she was needing. I’m just not a fan of the whole “I can’t have what I want even though I know they are hurting me and I can end it” energy Amelie was giving. I’m also in my early 30s and there’s no time to play that game in real life so as a reader I don’t tend to connect to those types of characters anymore.
