lyssabird 's review for:
Lord of the Flies
by William Golding
I reread this recently and there was so much more to it than what I got as a kid in high school.
While the downside to this book is the occasional long droning passage overly-describing the scenery, the book overall is worth it. The truths this story tells about society and humanity at large are important ones that I think people should revisit over and over again.
This isn't really a book you read for fun, but it's an important and intellectual read that really gets you thinking. Also? Scarier than most horror stories I've ever read.
