Dang. Absolutely a case of the book being better than the movie. And I liked the movie! So I knew the general plot going into this read, but this book just gives such insight to Coriolanus Snow’s twisted motivations and inner dialogue. His justifications for his actions as well as his rising paranoia just can’t be truly captured on film, and reading this had my blood pressure rising. Very well done backstory for a series villain!
