“She eyed him defiantly. “I rather like the idea of a man swooning over my ankles.” “If he swoons over your ankles, he won’t be good for much else. I assure you, they are not your most interesting feature.”

Ok the banter in this series is so well done, I loved all of it! This book focused on a surely, grumpy, kind hearted Earl who lost his wife years prior, and a Merchants daughter whose reputation was ruined due to bold faced lies told by sons of the ton, and who pretends to be her sister so that her sister can elope with the man she loves with no one being the wiser.

This is a strangers to lovers, fake identity, invalid marriage, grumpy-sunshine Historical Romance that I devoured in a day and a half. I blew through the series of 4 books in a maybe of maybe 5 days. Highly recommend!
