berkough 's review for:
Dirty Sexy Saint
by Erika Wilde, Carly Phillips
So, this is my first romance novel. Honestly, I was on Hoopla at work, went to the list of the top audiobooks looking for something to listen to and this came up. I thought for sure it was going to be comical and cliche more than anything... In some regards it is; the billionaire heiress leaves the lap of luxury to go slum it with a millionaire bar owner. On the other hand, the sex scenes were well written.
Even though the ending is a bit obvious and the climax of the story was kind of a bullshit mcguffin, it did have a whimsical epilogue, and earns 4 stars from me for keeping the story engaging enough for to make it to the end. I didn't go into this expecting Tolstoy, so I wasn't disappointed, and it helped me get through some tedious reports and spreadsheets.
