Wicked Deeds on a Winter's Night by Kresley Cole

4.0

This book took the enemies to lovers theme VERY seriously and I honestly had a hard time with Bowen being the MMC because of some of the shit he pulled. The FMC was about what you’d expect of a 23 year old witch with immense powers - and no control over them; reckless, impulsive, and naive. I can usually invest in an age gap romance, but she was just so much younger than him in personality (although he had some maturing to do) that I occasionally got the ick.

I did like the continued world building and story building that took place in this book. Each installment makes me love and hate different characters, and helps me understand underlying motivations. It a well woven tale, even if it was not my favorite installment.

Spice: 4.5/5

Triggers: dubcon, survival scenarios, grief, parental abandonment
