AAAA. very good. i want to keep reading it.. its so good. I really enjoyed the writing style, I don't think it's for everyone but i literally drank it up, whenever i sat down to read it i was immediately drawn in and absorbed in the story and in that way it was good to just bring around with me and read. It's an amazing exploration of womanhood and the gender structures that define our society, it also does a good job of being self aware of itself as a book that centers around a predominantly white trans experience. The main characters are not "good" people by any means, but they're written in a very human way. Their relationships, interactions, and thoughts are messy and often irrational , but Peters does such a good job of exploring their characters and the hardships they encounter/experience. Very good queer literature, very blunt and matter of fact writing style that sometimes comes across as melodramatic. Would very much recommend.

I think the reasons people may not like this book are because 1) the writing style didn't suit them,  2) they are terfs and hate trans people, or 3) they very misunderstood the book. Reading this book you are meant to think critically about the narratives the characters present to you, and what they may mean beyond the surface level. This book is so dense and heavily loaded in a way that I really love, definitely something i want to reread.
