I should have written this review as soon as I had finished this incredible book this past summer. I doubt I can come close to matching the positive feeling I had when I was done. This is so well written and engaging that I didn't want to put it down. I was reading it aloud to my 8 year old granddaughter and so needed some breaks. I had such an emotional reaction to the last 50 pages or so that I could barely speak the words as I was so choked up. Yes it has a very powerful ending (which I won't spoil for you!) which earned this book a place on my list of best books ever read. I would highly recommend it any reader who enjoys a good story of family and friends and the inherent conflict between those relationships. Will most likely be my favorite book of 2021!
