I’m going to read the sequel, but I feel like this whole book could have been so much shorter. Like legitimately it felt more like an introduction to a story than an actual story. The characters are definitely cool, but there’s absolutely no plot. Even worse it just ended in such an abrupt and awkward spot. The whole book is setting up for the climax being her birthday, and then it just suddenly ends before we even get there. I don’t mean to be rude, but I’ve always been told a story needs a beginning, middle, and end, and this book didn’t even get to the middle. It was 300 pages of filler content and fluff, and I mean fluff as in extra unnecessary content. Yes there was also the sweet/romantic fluff, but that’s not the point I’m making.
