A chef in a dystopian world, working in an exclusive community for the ultra-rich. The community is also a research facility, overseen by the employer and his daughter, where extinct produce and animal meat are procured.
Seems an interesting enough premise, but the verbose writing style was not my cup of tea. The author went into quite some lengths to describe food and tastes, maybe as to use these descriptions as masks for emotions or to show illusions of grandeur as a theme maybe. It made for a stale read, distracting away from the predictable plot.
