I found out this used to be a column which makes a lot of sense to me as the pacing was a bit off in places as a long format book, but I can imagine would fit a lot better in short, punchier formats. I thought the description of the feeling of hospitality was really bang on and I loved how the author described their utter love and need of cooking. However  I felt the book didn’t have much direction or an overarching point/ feeling. A little disjointed but a fun and quick listen for an audio book.
