The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid

5.0

Wow. That is one well written book.

How to describe it? The sort of typical words are that it was
provoking, challenging, entertaining, meaningful, well-plotted, etc.

Instead, I think the best thing to say is this: this book felt true. Reid looked at her characters with unflinching honesty and told a true story about them. They are not heroes. They are not villains. They are people, flawed and fantastic.

I really enjoyed it. Sexuality is a main theme in way that I wouldn’t recommend to my middle schoolers…but I would recommend this book to adults of any age, and maybe a high schooler who knows what the word precocious means.
