audiobook was a little too intense for me. actually had to take breaks from listening. lots of shouting, very strong language. story was well done.  narrators captured the characters well.
there is a moment at the end where the youngest protagonist compares something to waves of morning sickness, despite us knowing she was a virgin until the boy and there was no mention of pregnancy. it felt a little off as an experiential detail. also, what a xxxxx for cutting her hair that short!
