Asterix and the Picts by Jean-Yves Ferri

3.0

A good laugh, boosted by the nostalgia from reading tonnes of asterix as a child.

The story is simple, not particularly interesting or memorable, but the humour and art hold up. This is a (relatively) recent addition to the series with a new author who has delivered on the tone and humour to make them seem just like how I remember from childhood, which for the most part is a good thing but as per the asterix formula, its full of jokes based on stereotypes (in this case about scottish people) which can feel a bit dated and unoriginal.
