This goes all the way back to 1492 or thereabouts. I thought it was an incredibly detailed but as the author noted she couldn't possibly include everything, still there's quite a lot of information here. I have one further thing to say and let me preface this by saying that I am a liberal, but I detected a a liberal slant to the writing of the book. Even with that it is a high quality read
