The Amityville Murder House by Andy Rausch

1.0

This book is reading like a really bad B movie you find on shudder or Tubi with really bad acting, ridiculous lines and lots of repetition. If I read “he considered this” one more time, my eyeballs will roll out of my skull. The characters are flat, the story is flat. I can’t even finish it. Jen and Josh are that annoying toxic couple no one wants to be around. Josh is a narcissist, Jen has no backbone. It’s all so corny.

There is a racist comment in here that has NO reason being there. It was sprinkled in like diced onions on ice cream; made no sense and it was just plain gross. The quote was: “I thought you’d be late. Your father used to say all the time, ‘Jen is late everywhere she goes, what is she black?’”

DNF.

Note to author: This was tacky. Do better.

I would not recommend this book.
