I am glad I was not discouraged by the 2nd book to continue reading the series and I decided to venture further alongside the sharp-witted Finnish detective Joona Linna. This book was written very well, the main keywords to this book were childhood trauma, violence and hiding. Some incidents in The Fire Witness made me really want to physically shake the officers working on the Vicky and Dante case.
It was a shame that I guessed the bad guy when I was only halfway through the book, but the fact motivated me to finish the book quickly as I wanted to know whether I was right (like Joona always is). The ending was a real cliffhanger, but I will do a small pause with binge-reading Kepler books to reset my mindset.
