The Aspect of Essence by Samantha Amstutz

3.0

A struggle. The first 50% is painful, the characters are unlikeable at best, with slight redemption in the further 50%.
I will say, the world building is very good, and the actual book itself is very well written, however it’s hard to fully engage when the FMC is so conceited 99% of the time.
The plot is pretty good and the end of the novel leaves for a good story within the second book. Hopefully a full redemption of the characters and their stories will be on the horizon.
