Blood for Blood by Ryan Graudin
5.0
I just finished reading this book in the last 2 days. The story captured me even more than Wolf By Wolf. I can't say much about the actual plot because it's a sequel, but I will say I found it exciting and it kept me on the edge of my seat.
I loved the three character perspectives we follow - Yael, Luka and Felix. They continue to grow and change from the last book. Yael's strength is beautifully interwoven by moments of fear, compassion and sadness, which some equate with weakness. She faces all of these sides of herself and finds herself becoming more whole and comfortable in her own skin. The boys are faced with truths they were ignorant or blind too and they both make decisions based on what they believe is true. Some of these decisions have heartbreaking consequences and made me so angry even though I ultimately could understand why.
This book brought out so many emotions in me. I smiled, felt the love, was angry, shocked and so very sad. I loved the writing and am so glad I read this book.
