Overall, I enjoyed my time reading this book! Its not perfect, but for what it was trying to do, it was well done. I have to admit that Marions chapters/sections were a pain to get through and extremely boring but somehow I still think the writing style was good (???) her section was super hard to get through ngl and made me not want to pick up the book from time to time, BUT patricks chapter/sections on the other hand? SO GOOD. he just had some much character and he actually felt like a real person with feelings. his love for Tom was truly immense and conveyed well throughout the book. him getting beat up in prison wasn't the best choice…. i feel like it was kinda lazy writing, like she just had to think of a way to make him have another seizure LMAO but other than my many gripes, I enjoyed this book!!
