You know a book made some good points when the only negative reviews are by tech bros who lack empathy and value "progress" over human life. Diabolical.

This is the first book I've read about AI and I learned a lot from it, including a lot of negative sides I never considered before. A lot of other reviews called this a "biased" book, but the author stated at the beginning all the precautions she took to ensure an accurate representation of all the people she interviewed. The only part I had an issue with was her attempt to frame Annie Altman as entirely a victim based on only one side of the story and a lot of speculation. I understand that she was trying to paint Sam Altman as a manipulator with a history of abuse, but it felt out of place in a book analyzing the twisted origins of artificial intelligence. I also felt that this book could have been a lot shorter than it was.
