Everything for You by Chloe Liese
5.0

"I'm a miserable, pain-riddled misanthrope, and he's a perennially ray of fucking sunshine."

Ted Lasso but if Ted and Roy Kent fucked. Really.

Just to get out of the way, i read Everything for You without reading any of the other "Bergman Brothers" novels, because i can't be bothered to read straight romance most of the time, and i just wanted to read this one because i was really excited when i found out it was a gay soccer romance, so it's safe to say you can read this one without reading all the other books. Of course, the other family members pop out here and there and i definitely don't remember everyone's names because Oliver's family is HUGE. No, really, my reaction was exactly the same as Gavin's when he found out Oliver has SIX SIBLINGS. And most of them have a significant other! And some of them have children!!!!

Back to the book. I thought it was awesome, the exact pinch of romance, smut and angst i like. Gavin is awesome and his hate for everything and everyone didn't feel forced to me because i also hate everything and everyone. Misanthropes unite.

"God, you feel so good, taste so good, so much better than I-" He kisses me harder, stopping himself, but it's not difficult to fill in the rest of that sentence.
I smile against his mouth. "Been thinking about this, huh, Hayes?
"Like you haven't, too."
"Maybe just a little bit."

I wish i could read more of this story, and i'll probably skim through the next books in this series just so i can catch up to what Gavin and Oliver are up to. Gavin's grumpness and Oliver's humor clash very well together, and the fact that even though Gavin hates people he still loves Oliver's niece? Awesome. Love me some grump who's soft on children.

I have to say i've got two complaints. One, there's too many Hamilton references. I like Hamilton just as the next guy but... i felt it was too many. Not that it bothered me that much, but anyway. Second, most of the time the characters were jerking each other off the author kept using words like fist, fisted, fisting and..... i get what the author was trying to say but i don't think anyone says "fisted" while talking about jerking off. That's a whole other sex thing.

Anyway, "Everything for You" is an amazing book, perfect for fans of Ted Lasso, the grumpy/sunshine couples, oh my god they were roommates and there was only one bed tropes.

Thank you Chloe Liese and Netgalley for providing me with an ARC in exchange for a honest review!
