I think kids will like this, and there a lot of fun here. However, as an adult reader, it dragged a bit in the middle, with some turns into at least one side plot that felt unnecessary. A tighter story focused on the finding treasure would have been good.

But again, kids might like it? And hopefully some of the random will feel less random in book 2?
