What a good book, it's the story of Kj a die hard hockey player and Adrienne a newly divorced mother and former die hard hockey player. Kj is losing her right hand ice partner and best friend Jamie due to pregnacy. Jamie brings new to town, Adrienne to hockey practice as a more than competent replacement. Kj and Adrienne work together to become a well oiled ice hockey machine and also find feelings pulling them closer off the ice. This book is a nice slow journey that takes into consideration a kid going through newly divorced parents, unresolved family issues and racial concerns. The hockey scenes are exciting and brings you right into the action. Well done Lise MacTague this is an awesome story!
