Larissa is annoying. Definitely a short sighted, hard headed, impulsive person which was a bit aggravating to listen to at times (audiobook). I don't think the narrators chosen helped.
It was hard to tell what fictional time frame this was supposed to take place in. There were castles and ballgowns and armor...but boxers and bras and panties. Literally pulled me out everytime King Snake (bad name sorry not sorry) was described in solely boxers.
Some of these could be put aside when in the headspace that this was meant to be smutty, but I think that's a weak excuse.
The ending felt abrupt. Like we had just come back to a level of hot acceptance again and now we're right back to the beginning of cold loathing. Lame. Felt like none of the story mattered if the key relationship is literally reset.
It's saving graces were in playing with some tropes and the smut scenes were smutting.
I won't be continuing the series.
