You know when you’re watching an accident happen in slow motion and you can’t look away from it… that was this book lol. The sheer number of continuity errors and things that didn’t make sense was outta control. I have 40 highlights of things that were “off” in a freakin 17 chapter novella! I mean I know we don’t read this shit for the plot lol, but this was just lazy.

The FMC was quite possibly one of the most insufferable I’ve ever read. We get it, you’re self conscious and don’t like your body, that’s 90% of women on the planet… but the amount of self deprecation in this was just beating a dead fucking horse. I seriously don’t need to hear her complain about herself and her body every third page.

Then we have the whole taboo thing with the stepdad/stepson, which for clarification beforehand is totally fine with me… But, UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES should the word kid or kiddo be used in conjunction with a sexual relationship… fuck no. That is a line you do not cross. Everyone here is a consenting adult, so why would you want to introduce the imagery of a kid? Shock value? It’s fucking gross and inappropriate. Don’t do that.

If you can ignore all of that bullshit, the spice is actually decent and she does have potential as an author lol.

Oh AND… it’s chock-full of insta love… that shit needs a fuckin trigger warning of its own. Bleh. Seriously
