In my opinion Better off Dead by Lee and Andrew Child is not the best book in the Reacher series. I miss some of the witty humor that I think has been a trademark in the books. The story is good but a little thin. I miss a lot of dialogue going on in Reachers head that we all know and love. I also found Reachers calculating mind somewhat lacking, it was more like stumbling along until he made a break. I will not stop reading this series and sincerely hope they get better. I do love all things Reacher and will recommend this to anyone who will listen to me.
