Fragments by Dan Wells

This is the sequel to Partials, which I remember liking but couldn't remember exact details of. So I jumped into this one hoping I'd catch up. I think I did, but there is probably some stuff from the first book that I've totally forgotten.

I like the story and found myself interested in what was happening to the main characters in this devastated world. I like that they are basically trying to save the human race. However, my gripe is that I kept confusing story lines from this book with other YA dystopian books such as Insurgent and Starters. Which makes me think the ideas aren't original enough to differentiate itself from other similar books.

I'm not sure if it will be worth reading the 3rd book in this series as I can't see it doing much different than almost every other dystopian series.
