So, the author requested that we not reveal anything, which makes writing a review slightly difficult because most things I want to comment on would reveal things.
What I can say is that I appreciate how quick of a read this was. I was engaged the whole time which made the book go by fast. I liked that there was a bit of mystery about what was going on and how they ended up where they were. I liked that a female was in charge.
However, I'm not sure I really liked her character. There seem to be some real aggression and impulse control issues where she's concerned and I have a feeling that's going to play into the following books. As another reviewer mentioned, there are a ton of unanswered questions, which is expected in a trilogy. The problem is that I'm not sure if I really want to know the answers bad enough to read the next book. We'll see.
