This author was recommended to me by a member of our book group. I really liked the whole forensic archaeology angle and the atmospheric descriptions of the bleak salt marshes. I understand why the character of Ruth Galloway is a bit marmite, but I quite liked her humanity and complexity. I was less convinced by her relationship with Nelson. I would be interested to see how this series develops but am not completely hooked...
