God I wish I was Emily Tesh. Loved it, devoured it, etc. etc. etc. I found the third act element very similar to This Desperate Glory, which she pulls off really well. The characters were so loveable, the setting so compelling, etc. It really fitted in genre-wise with Her Majesty's Royal Coven, which I recently enjoyed, although with better thought out and more compelling politics.
