Great follow up to The Giver. This story starts out at the same time as the first book but ends up years after. I actually skipped the other two books because I wanted to find out what happened to Jonas and Gabe and found myself really liking Claire. Other reviewers have mentioned being left with questions about how all these places relate geographically and how they can all be so different and I admit I wonder that too. Aside from that, I feel it ended well and wrapped up things from all preceding books.
