S.A. COSBY HAS ANOTHER HIT!
I'm a few chapters in and omg. I have clutched my imaginary pearls and called on the Lord 100 times. Just wanted to type that here for anyone excited to read it.
---------------
S.A. Cosby...you have destroyed me. I'll be back to write more when I'm done crying and shaking.
Ok I'm ready to review this!
LORD HAVE MERCY JESUS!!!! I finished this this morning and here it is after 8:30 pm and the book has stayed with me all day. THAT CURVE BALL THOUGH BECAUSE WHAT THE F DO YOU MEAN ROMAN, DANTE AND THEIR DAD KNEW WHAT HAPPENED TO THEIR MOM AND HID IT FROM NEVEAH AND THE COPS FOR ALL THOSE YEARS??!!!! WHAT??? WHAT?? EXCUSE MEEEEEEEE!!!!!! The way I HOLLERED when that was revealed. Ugh. As someone who had a parent missing I was holding out hope that their mother would just magically reappear after so many years but just like in my life that wasn't the case and it was absolutely heartbreaking to know how she died. It definitely shed light on why Dante was such a screw up and Roman liked him some mama roleplay. Neveah thinking their Dad had killed their mom when it was just a horrible accident. My God today!!! WHEN DANTE DIED!!! Look, I knew it was coming but I wasn't ready. That on top of their dad dying...probably at the hands of Neveah was just too much. I haven't even touched on Torrent and Tranquil and all that mess! The way I would've told Dante to figure it out and ran back to the ATL if I was Roman LOL! Roman was a real one and I was happy when he met Jae and she matched his nerd and freak vibes. Lot's of trigger warnings for violence, murder and disposing of bodies. Not for the squeamish. I did a combo of print halfway and listened to the audio halfway (thanks NetGalley!) and I'm so happy Adam Lazarre-White narrates the audio for this one too. I'm already calling this my favorite book of 2025. S.A. Cosby...baby you did that. Thanks for making me cry and bringing up some repressed memories!
